Service Times
Sunday at 10 AM is our main worship service. Grade school children (Grades 1-5) sit with parents during worship, then are dismissed to the Activity Center. Childcare is available for newborns through kindergartners in the HC Nursery / Pre-School wing of the main building.
Service typically runs 10-11:45 AM, but is always up to the Holy Spirit’s discretion.
Wednesday is our youth night; doors open at 6:30 PM. HC Youth, grades 6-12, meet on the first floor of the Activity Center. HC Kids, grades 1-5, meet on the second floor of the Activity Center. HCK service runs until 8 PM and HCY service runs until 8:30 PM. Please come in to pick up your student(s).

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:23-25
FAQ’s
What Is The Dress Code?
If you’ve got a shirt, pants, and shoes, you’re good! Wear what you’ll be comfortable praising the Lord in, but don’t be afraid to dress to impress. You’ll see all sorts of attire, but all will be dressed with the same welcoming smile and hunger for the Lord!
Do You Have Coffee?
Although we aren’t ruled by our flesh, we get it… sometimes a nice cup of coffee is appreciated! We have coffee, tea, and goodies towards the back of the sanctuary in our cafe… “Fathead Cafe”! (Ask us where the name comes from!!)
What Is the Praise & Worship Like?
Our praise and worship is not just a rushed 20 minute segment before the message is preached. It’s an opportunity to enter His gates with thanksgiving and to lose ourselves in His presence. Sometimes our worship is 30 minutes, sometimes it’s the whole service! Sometimes it is jumping, shouting, and running; sometimes it is laying on our faces, knelt at the altar, and weeping in His glory. We are submitted to whatever it is Holy Spirit is doing that morning. Our actual music selection is modern CCM with a biblically accurate message.
What Is the Preaching Like?
Our preaching is dynamic, anointed, and always sourced from the full counsel of the Word. Similarly to our praise & worship, the preaching is submitted to whatever Holy Spirit is doing that morning. Pastor John’s notes may go out the window as he flows with where God is taking us. Speaking of notes, you will get a sermon handout as you enter the building to help you follow along and take additional notes. You will hear the Word preached by Lead Pastors John & Shanti Culbertson and other ministers.

Where Are You Planted?
It’s obvious that in today’s day and age, “church” has become more of a social club or a religious box to check. People will visit multiple churches to see which one they “like” more. They’ll base where they go to church off of the kid’s program, the praise and worship, it’s close to home, length of the service, etc. Though these seem like okay reasons, that is not what the Bible instructs us to do.
The Bible actually says God Himself places His people in the body the way He desires (1 Corinthians 12:18 NASB95). So, it’s not up to our personal preferences and likes/dislikes where we attend church. God actually has placed in you a divine purpose and destiny that can only be fulfilled when you give yourself to the planting that God has called you to. The Bible says that when you plant yourself where God has called you, you will flourish! (Psalm 92:13)
Hope City Church may be where the Lord has planted you, and it may not be. We will be thrilled to meet you either way and speak Biblical truth and help you as you submit yourself to the planting or hear from the Lord on where that planting is. Church is more than just a building, it’s more than just a service, it’s where believers can gather together and praise the one and only King of Kings and be sent back into the world to change it! If you have questions, feel free to contact us.
