Following Jesus

At Hope City Church, being a follower of Jesus Christ is at the core of what we believe.  If you are just learning about what that means, we want to help you out.

The Bible says in Romans 10:9, “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Saved? Saved from what? Saved from ever living a life without God.  By confessing and believing that Jesus died and was raised from the dead as a sacrifice for all sin, you have opened the door for God to change your life, heal you from past hurts, and help you to be a light in other’s lives.

Know that your past is forgiven. That’s right, any sin you’ve ever committed, or will commit, has been wiped clean.

You are now a new person! Your spirit has been transformed to be just like Jesus. You are now tailor made to house the Spirit of God! While your physical body may look the same, trust God that He changed you on the inside!

Now that you are saved, you have gone from eternally dying to eternally living. You now have a home in Heaven which means you will be spending from now until eternity with Him.
