Can’t Stop Us Now!

April 4 was Resurrection Day, when new life was made available to humanity.  And contrary to what some people think, resurrection power isn’t only available on Easter Sunday.  It’s available every second of every day.  Even as you’re reading this, resurrection power is available to you right now.

Jesus didn’t just rise from the dead and say, “Okay…I’ve defeated death; good luck everybody else!”  Of course not!  Jesus said, “Death has been defeated!  All authority has been given to Me, so you go!”  Jesus took everything that was given to Him and then He gave it to us and empowered us.

Life Breathed Into Us

Romans 8:11 reminds us that God’s Spirit of resurrection lives in believers, and because of that, “He will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you!”  If you look back to the Garden of Eden in Genesis 1, you see that God breathed life into man.  Verse 27 tells us that God created man in His own image.  So what is the image of God?  It’s not two legs, two arms, a head, etc.; God is spirit.  So, God made man like Him in spirit…but since we’re on a physical world, we needed something to walk around on it.

God took dirt and breathed into it, inserting His life into the spirit of man.  Because God has breath life into humanity, you and I are ready to be life-giving people here on earth!

People’s concept of the creation of man can be so off at times.  Most people think when God told Adam and Eve (Genesis 1:28) “be fruitful and multiply”, He was telling them to have a bunch of kids.  What He was saying was, “Go and multiply what you are, which is Who I am.  You’re made in My image and likeness, so go and multiply that on earth.  That’s a Truth set in motion that can’t be stopped!

The Power of a Seed

Jesus’ life was like a seed.  He was planted on earth to reproduce after His own kind.  His life contained everything needed to grow and multiply and produce a harvest.  His act of great sacrifice and service was needed to gain many lives.

When you plant a seed, you expect to get a harvest from what was planted.  You don’t plant corn and expect soybeans…that’s just not the way it works.  When you plant something, you expect a harvest of something identical in nature, even down to the DNA.  So, if Jesus was planted, what harvest should you expect to see?  Many Jesuses here on earth!

“This co-resurrection new birth does not compare to the fading qualities of that which is produced by the perishable seed of the carnal works, and performance-based mindsets.  The indestructible living seed of the Word of God conceives resurrection life within you; this life is equal to its source.” – 1 PETER 1:23 (MIRROR)

What Jesus did for us is far above and better than what we could do on our own!  The life produced from incorruptible, indestructible seed is equal to its source!  “Religion” has taught us that we need to be humble and say, “Oh, God, I’m not worthy!  I’m just a worm!  I can’t do anything…I don’t deserve anything.”  No!  That’s pride!  Why?  Because you’re elevating what you’ve done higher than what Jesus has done!

Instead, let’s humble ourselves to what God says about us:  We are equal to the Source that birthed us!  The life conceived in us is the life conceived in Jesus!

“The life conceived in us is the life conceived in Jesus!”

There are some churches where you would get kicked out for saying stuff like that, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a biblical truth!  The seed has been planted and you can’t stop it!  Truth is being revealed to see who we really are!  There’s power in the seed: Everything that is needed to grow an oak tree to its full stature is in that little acorn.

Mark 4:13-20 records Jesus’ parable about the sower sowing the Word.  And we understand that we need to be receptive ground to allow that Word to take root in our lives.  But then we need to take that understanding further.  See, unless that seed dies, nothing transformative happens.  Look at Jesus told His disciples in John 12:

“Unless that seed dies, nothing transformative happens.”

24 Let me make this clear: A single grain of wheat will never be more than a single grain of wheat unless it drops into the ground and dies. Because then it sprouts and produces a great harvest of wheat—all because one grain died.  25 “The person who loves his life and pampers himself will miss true life! But the one who detaches his life from this world and abandons himself to me, will find true life and enjoy it forever!  26 If you want to be my disciple, follow me and you will go where I am going. And if you truly follow me as my disciple, the Father will shower his favor upon your life.” – JOHN 12:24-29 (PASSION)

1 Corinthians 15:36-38 confirms this: “Foolish man! Don’t you know that what you sow in the ground doesn’t germinate unless it dies?  And what you sow is not the body that will come into being, but the bare seed. And it’s hard to tell whether it’s wheat or some other seed.  But when it dies, God gives it a new form, a body to fulfill his purpose, and he sees to it that each seed gets a new body of its own and becomes the plant he designed it to be.”

Jesus died so He could become what the Father God envisioned Him to be.  As believers, we must die to ourselves so we can fulfill our purpose and create a harvest!  When we do this, nothing can stop us!
